Recent Site Updates - November 2014

Last month was the busiest month in edeb8 history, which is fantastic for the site. But as well as user activity there has also, as always, been a host of new features developed for you to play with.

First some general improvements:

Improved debate page and debate display on the home page
Ability to thumbs-up a forum post
Ability to hide judgments during the judging period
Ability to hide debaters involved in a debate until after the judging period
Faster banning for rule breakers
New heading font test
More organization for the settings page
"Advanced options" for new debate challenges
Ability to create polls in groups
Auto-quoting for the forums, optionally turn-offable
Improved forum quote styles
More stats on the site stats page
Nicer display of messages and status updates
Searching of status updates
New categories and character limit option
New notification settings
Improved text truncation script
And the usual round of bugfixes etc
