Recent new features - Apr 2014
Here's what we've been creating these past few months, in case you haven't followed on the forums:
- New forum BBcodes supported
- New forum signatures
- Improved bio field for your profile - now allows you to add images, links etc
- Improved profile and team status updates
- Redesigned and improved debate and judging pages
- Redesigned site header
- Lots of improvements to search, including searchable forums
- Longer CX rounds
- New double forfeit rule - when both debaters in a 2-way debate post the same thing or forfeit in two consecutive rounds, the debate goes immediately to a vote.
- Automatic social media updates, so your debate WILL get promoted!
- Non-binary gender options - yet another world first
- Improved PDF rendering of debates
- Improved notifications
- Locally saved debate drafts
- Broadcast non-html debate edits in teams (like Google Docs - collaborative debate editing)
- Ability to join multiple teams
- Plus tons of others and lots of bug fixes as always!
We also experimented with DDO-style judge nominations, but it turned out not to be useful for improving debate.
Happy debating!

Worth noting - we were the first in the world for most of these, including the judge nominations - and we were the first in the world to drop them!
