I imagine you will, during this debate, mention abortion as "killing innocent babies". This is where I disagree with you. I do admit that a fetus is indeed "alive", but so are bacteria and dandelions.
Another pro-life argument is that a human fetus is a potential human person, and therefore, it has the right to live. The former is true, it is a future human, but so are sperm cells (is safe sex also killing potential humans?).
I believe this topic most of the time result in philosophical pondering on what defines a human, and what determines one's right to live. I value consciousness as the prime factor on what defines a person. As a fetus is not capable of thinking, emotions or pain, I would say that abortion is not immoral. This does not mean that abortions aren't emotionally troubling (this is why I believe it is the woman's choice).
