1. Disco provides technically complicated Bass lines and signals a major departure from the instrument being used as purely wallpaper.

Because of the driving nature and heavy use of high runs, these basslines have the effect of making people dance. The dancing floods the body with endorphins making you happy.
In fact this article from Healthy Living actually says: "While nearly any kind of physical activity has the potential to release endorphins, dancing is particularly effective." [1]

Disco bass literally makes you happy.

Legion - what was your bug? I have reason to suspect it may be different from nzlockie's. Are you talking about the profile bug I fixed yesterday?

Nzlockie - regarding your bug, I would have fixed it already but there's a related issue with CX. I can confirm that non-debaters will not be able to exploit the bug (there's different code that controls the page for debaters and non-debaters basically).

This resolution argues that the much maligned musical genre of Disco actually deserves credit for its musical innovation and the technical skill involved in performing it; rather than being seen as a blight on the landscape of 70's music and lumped in with modern pop as being vapid and uncreative.

Due to the musical nature of the debate, video links can be admissible as sources, but with the following rules strictly adhered to:
1. No more than one link from each side per round.
2. Song name and artist must be named in round.
3. A specific time stamp must be provided to target the specific section of the song needed to prove the point.

CON will win by proving that Disco's merits were not significantly unique or groundbreaking or by proving that the advances by Disco were net-harmful.

Definitions:
Disco may include 70's Funk and Boogie, maybe even Reggae depending on your definition.
For clarification on this, Bony M would be a Disco band while Jimmy Cliff would be considered Reggae.
