Debatemaster101 (CON)I think that women should be allowed to serve in military combat roles because they are just as capable as men. Women make up at least 35% of jobs. Without us, you probably wouldn't have a job. Women can shoot and be good at it. It doesn't matter what gender they are. If you think that women shouldn't serve in the military because you think you are protecting them or that they are too weak we aren't. Judging by sex and not by the person themselves is sexist and is rude. My case rests.

News shows that women are not up to standard (https://www.wsj.com/articles/women-dont-belong-in-combat-units-11547411638). The less people serve, the more lives we potentially save. So we should not let women serve as the standard of men serving is already there and very difficult to change -- very few women would want to get drafted mandatorily. If we prevent women from serving at least we get rid of the risk that they lose their lives.

| Speak RoundDebatemaster101 (CON)Pro has sources sure, but is he actually thinking about it? If women were to enlist they do so because they want to. If women don't want to they don't have to enlist. If they lack the physical ability to be able to be in combat roles, then so be so. One's gender is arbitrary. If the commander does not think the women are capable he obviously isn't going to pick them to go into combat. If you are worried about them getting pregnant, you shouldn't be because if they enlist in the military they aren't going to shrink it by getting pregnant. IF we have fewer people serving then there are fewer people being able to be saved. Being drafted is just the same as guys getting drafted, it doesn't matter what sex.
