By choosing con you are stating that you are against women's rights. If this is true I ask why.
There is no societal benefit to prevent women from having the same rights. A popular argument by sexist (anti-women's rights) people is that women should stay at home and not go to work. According to the US Department of Labor, “Women comprised 46.8 percent of the total U.S. labor force and are projected to account for 46.9 percent of the labor force in 2018.”. To say that women should not work would be to say that we should get rid of almost half of the workers in the US. According to the CIA the USA had a higher unemployment rate than almost 60 other countries. By saying women need to stay at home (a part of women's rights) you are saying that the USA should increase our unemployment rate by a lot more than it needs to be/is. Because I want to know

Also, I don’t know why you would think I was against women’s rights, as I didn’t specify it. I am not against it, as I didn’t specify that, I feel passionate about women’s rights. I have grew up with a mother, that wasn’t treated in the best way. As, a daughter to sit there and watch that happen, and being to young to understand, frustrates me now, because I wish I could have helped in anyway possible. Now, I feel like things are being dealt with. Wich is great! Posted 2018-12-12 05:39:36

Hi, sorry This is late I had problems getting into my account. I do apologise for the title, I did correct it and change it afterwards. I am all for Women’s rights, that was the point, I wanted to hear people’s opinions on women’s rights, sorry that it wasn’t specific. I then changed it “Should sexism be as big as it is” Wich I believe it should be. If you would like, go check that one out! Sorry for the inconvenience that may have been caused, it was not intended. Thanks Lily!Posted 2018-12-12 05:27:13
Lily is the one who initiated the debate so I wanted to leave room for them to clarify what they mean't by Women's rights!Posted 2018-12-10 10:38:59
Just to point out, the motion of this debate "Women's rights!" is inherently vague. Ew2046, as you went first, you should have outlined specifically what your motion wants to be about (pretend you were a government official proposing a new plan). Instead of outlining the motion, you've spoon fed and said what CON would argue and you're accusing them outright of being "against women's rights".
As the motion is incredibly vague, this isn't necessarily true and it was sort of up to you to make the argument more specific.Posted 2018-12-10 09:25:20
