Thoughts on the ethical theory? I personally subscribe to a desire utilitarianism, and would be happy to answer/defend any questions to it.
SteveH:
Forgive the layman for a minute please, but what is the difference between standard utilitarianism and desire utilitarianism?

I'm not the biggest fan of Utilitarianism, because I don't think it can be defended that an individual owes other individuals happiness, a generally central thesis of Utilitarianism. From a Social perspective, I generally adopt utilitarian principles from a social contract standpoint--which, to me, is different.
