So this big aircraft kinda vanished without a trace a few days back and now nobody can find it any more. There have been all sorts of conspiracy theories and such, along with a very confused investigation, a massive search effort by many countries, some revelations some passengers used false passports and some understandably upset families. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysia_Airlines_Flight_370

So what do you think happened to the jet?

admin: I think the passengers are currently being probed by aliens. They must be getting interrogated about the happenings here on our planet. The government should tell the truth about how they were abducted.

That would be the answer of a nut job. I think the plane malfunctioned and something bad happened afterwards. I think it is irrecoverable and majority of the passengers died. I think at this point, if there were many survivors; I would assumed we would of heard from them by now.

Agreed. I know the media wants this to be a terrorism attack but it's not. It can't be, it would make no sense.

The only unusual aspect to this is the fact it was a 777 - I always try to fly on those because they are basically the Volvo of the sky!

Interesting how nobody thinks the pilots are to blame. That seems to be the next big idea in Malaysia.

admin: I did not come to the same conclusion as everyone else. So please refrain from lumping us all together lol

Then again as one eccentric person said "they are being probed by aliens as we speak!"

admin: I did not know what they were agreeing with because neither explained. Then Rebekah said they were terrorists. Far as I am concerned one of the two might of been agreeing with the alien probe conclusion.

I was agreeing. It wouldn't shock me pilot error came into it, it sure looks like they may have turned off the transponder; the 777 is one of the safest passenger airliners around but ultimately, the most likely result is that the plane malfunctioned.

I reckon the only "evil" thing likely to have happened was an attempted high jacking gone wrong. Very unlikely though.
I'd say pilot suicide was a long shot.

So I take it then the aircraft spotted in the straights of Malaca was some other secret flight?

admin: I've been travelling today and haven't been watching the news. Just googled it and seen there's some vague reports.
Not sure if your comment was directed at me or not?

Here's how I see it...
The flight most likely deviated from its course. This is due to the fact that no wreckage has been found despite knowing the heading and a known location.

The course change was not reported by the flight transponder or the crew, indicating either plane malfunction, pilot error or highjacking- or a combination.

Nobody has claimed credit for the job making a successful highjacking highly unlikely.
My conclusion is that it's either plane malfunction or pilot error or, probably most likely, a combination.
I'll be honest, I'm not super invested into this guessing game though - I mean, what's the point? Until there's meaningful evidence its just conjecture. I sure don't count "breaking news reports" about satellite images of wreckages, lone eye witness accounts and bodies in a life jacket "meaningful". Especially not when they're coming from a media machine desperate to keep the story going.

We'll know as soon as they ACTUALLY know if any of that stuff is related, until then statistical probability is as good a place to base a guess on as anything else!
