Can anyone tell me why this site has such a low fan base ? I actually like this site, but sometimes i feel like there's no one in this site at all sometimes.

Sometimes I'm alone here too haha.
Partly it's that we don't have a critical mass of users.
Partly it's that some ex users got frustrated with others' opinions.
And partly it's that, being a smaller site, edeb8 isn't usually the first debate site people find.
I'm always looking out for suggestions to attract people that fit with the site, though.

How many active users are here?

It varies. 10-40 I'd say, a number of folks lurk. These last couple of days we've had 60-70 unique IPs hit the site daily. The number varies a lot though through the weeks and days. Some are more active than this, some are less.

Hmmm interesting I will use it on my debate. Do you know how many users DDO had when it was as old as Edeb8?

Not exactly but it was somewhat more. Mostly because there were less alternatives back then. This was late 2008/early 2009 or so. I didn't join DDO until mid 2010.

Thanks for your time. I'll ask Airmax what he knows but I doubt he will be as cooperative.

Who was the main mod then? Were you ever a voting mod?

Nah, I've never been a DDO mod. I ran against Airmax for president once and since then we never got along. This was before there were "mods".

If I'm not mistaken the first "mod" was innomen and ore_ele, followed by airmax. It went with the presidency at one point.

Who won? Who was your chosen vice? PS I think you are better than Airmax cause your like friendly but stern teacher will Airmax is like a robot.

TUF was the coolest. He had a show where it revealed Mikal and Whiteflame's face.

Airmax of course. He had all the forum people on his side. My contention at the time was that airmax didn't understand debating and basically came to DDO as a career politician, which frankly I stand by. But I basically had never posted on the forum because I was there more for the debating side of things.
I didn't have a vice. Airmax effectively didn't either since his "vice" quit a few weeks in haha.

Yeah, I have a MASSIVE respect for TUF. Smart guy, one of the few DDO guys I trust. He did a ton of work behind the scenes and was amazingly dedicated.

I'm here now. Watch the numbers climb. (I'm only half kidding)
