Nerd Politico: It's set to NZ time. For me time reporting on DDO is really weird.

Number of forum posts will now be displayed on people's profiles.

Nerd Politico: Actually come to think of it - that could be an issue for debates and such with people not knowing when exactly their round will be up. Will look into it.

admin: Yeah, that'd be handy. A different tab should work, with debate/ forums/ judge. Under users heading perhaps.

A current event section(i.e. the site posts bills in congress or movements in the world and people post their opinions about them.

I also think it would be cool if the site posts debate for people to accept on either side. For example, the site could post the debate: Should gun control be increased, and members can take sides in the debate. This would be unique.

I think what you're getting at with this is that the site basically auto-posts news articles, but that's incredibly hard to filter. There's not much discussion you can have around certain news stories.

Debates in progress is in the works already - got 3 new panels coming soon to the home page and that's one of them.

Automatically posting debates would definitely be interesting and unique. I'll add it to my to do list.

I came from DDO and I always noticed a shortage of debate challenges. This annoyed me. Of the hundreds of thousands of members, there was only a dozen open debates at a time. Please, create an incentive for people to create new debates so that there will not be a shortage of debate challenges on this site. I do not know how you would do it, just take this into consideration.

admin: Haha of course. I was just responding to how he didn't like the low amount of debate challenges.

Nerd Politico: I know that their are only a few users at the moment. I was referring to my experience with DDO and was hoping that something could be put into place early on with this site that could ensure the presence of additional debates.

cowboy0108: As always, suggestions are welcome! I actually really like your previous idea of auto-proposing challenges every so often. That'll be happening soon too, just need to prioritize the homepage update first.
